So, with all the food storage knowledge I have now, and trying to save money and use food storage for making everyday meals, I've decided to stop paying $1.00 a piece for gravy packets at the store.
I made my own mixes!! Chicken Gravy Mix, Brown Gravy Mix, Onion Soup Mix, and Pancake & Waffle Mix. I'm sure a few more will come along eventually, but this is all we need for now.
I researched recipes for mixes online and came up with ones that were simple and tasted good. I bought some airtight containers and made some labels. I took some pictures, but nothing will load. I'll try again in a few days.
I'm pretty happy with how these turned out. I even put the recipe on the back of the container so I can just make another batch when we're getting low.
I'll post the recipes for these mixes on the 911Recipes site, if anyone is daring enough to make their own.
